
The Edmond Rostand library opened in 1992, it was inaugurated by french president Jacques Chirac. It is the largest library of the nord-west of Paris.
Edmond Rostand, one of the most famous french writer of theater, who created the fierce figure of "Cyrano de Bergerac", used to live nearby in the 19th century. The library offers all kind of books, music and movies, and also has a specialized collection of 4000 books of photography.



His Excellency Ambassador Jawed Ashraf released Ahtushi's book and attended the opening of her exhibition at the Médiathèque Edmond Rostand in Paris. His involvement was instrumental in showcasing the rich heritage of Ladakh’s rock art to a global audience, emphasizing its cultural significance on the international stage.

The Médiathèque library also hosted a public talk by Ahtushi on November 16th, which saw great registration and attendance from culture-loving Parisians, photographers, and other members of the public. Her talk, conducted in English and simultaneously translated into French, was met with enthusiastic appreciation from the audience, who were captivated by both the subject and the insights shared.
